SEO works best as a longer term commitment with companies that have room in their budgets to spend at least a few hundred dollars a month for monitoring, posting, link building, competition analysis etc. so course changes can be made on the site while it’s still working well. Otherwise general slowdowns might be misattributed to the economy in general and not something the competition has been doing to take away customers.
